Local TV/Radio Buyer 

The responsibilities of a Local TV/Radio buyer are comprised of the overall execution and management of our client’s media efforts. This encompasses all activities from the initial buy assessment, negotiations, ongoing management & campaign stewardship, and final reporting/reconciliation. Team members are required to adhere to industry best practices and to be current on industry developments. They are expected to work with other team members to move the organization forward by providing effective/efficient buying, thorough stewardship, and innovative solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Estimating the cost and ratings for clients’ future Local TV and Radio buys
  • Participation in developing spec buys for potential new business
  • Negotiating and buying TV (networks/stations) and Radio (networks/stations)
  • Monitor ongoing performances of buys to determine necessary re-negotiations within flight to deliver to goal
  • Development and issuance of weekly campaign reporting inclusive of weekly write-ups summarizing campaign performance versus goal and recommended buy management changes
  • Issuing Posts that are within industry standard of +/- 10%
  • Maintaining accurate benchmarks for past and present buys
  • Reconcile vendor invoices and handle discrepancies in order to complete necessary billing procedures in compliance with deadlines provided by finance
  • Securing regular communications with sales reps to understand ongoing marketplace conditions and building relationships representing the agency
  • Completely understanding the clients business model and metrics for success
  • Ability to use Strata, Advantage, BVS, SQAD, and Nielsen
  • Providing guidance and assistance to Assistants and Coordinators, including but not limited to calling for pre and post log times from networks, downloading BVS schedules,  updating logs, preparing traffic instructions
  • Establish and maintain strong agency relationships. Working with the TV/Radio team on joint projects  and cooperatively work with the Account Executive team
  • Researching new technologies that will help clients build their businesses
  • Bringing innovative solutions to outstanding issues
  • Approaching buys thru a holistic lens that benefits the entire campaign

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a media Local TV/Radio buying position
  • Experience in an office environment preferred
  • Excellent quantitative skills – expertise with Excel and proficient with numbers
  • Strong communication capabilities for both internal and external dialogue
  • Time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

DR National TV Buyer

The responsibilities of a DR National TV buyer are comprised of the overall execution and management of our clients’ media efforts. They are expected to work with other team members to move the organization forward by providing effective/efficient buying, thorough stewardship, and innovative solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Negotiating and buying National DRTV (networks/stations)
  • Understanding of National Broadcast General Media
  • Monitoring ongoing performances of buys to determine necessary re-expressions within flight to deliver to goal
  • Development and issuance of weekly campaign reporting inclusive of weekly write-ups summarizing campaign performance versus goal and recommended buy management changes
  • Maintaining accurate benchmarks for past and present buys
  • Reconcile vendor invoices and handle discrepancies in order to complete necessary billing procedures in compliance with client timelines

Programmatic Specialist:

This is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate with strong analytical skills (Math, Statistics, Computer Science, etc.), or someone with 1-2 years of Programmatic or Ad Ops experience.

The role of Programmatic Specialist is to build, communicate, execute, manage, and optimize effective and strategic RTB campaigns. Achieving success in this role will be determined by your ability to move the organization forward through improved campaign performance, quick response to client requests, and a willingness to nimbly adapt to the job role. Ongoing campaign optimization is a key part of servicing Mediassociates’ programmatic clients. This role is the front line of driving results for our client business.

The Programmatic Specialist will work closely with the eEffective team, on an ongoing basis, developing and enhancing our clients’ programmatic display campaigns. While transitioning into this role, you will be required to wear “many hats” as you expand your skill set. A “can do attitude” is also a must as at times you will be required to step outside your comfort zone to help the organization achieve client goals.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Plan, build, execute, and manage several RTB campaigns within The Trade Desk
  • Review, provide input, and take action on campaign results and analytics, demonstrating the effectiveness of the media optimization, and articulating insights based on performance data
  • Track changes and optimizations in campaign performance enabling clients to understand how you have made a material impact on their media results through optimizations.
  • Oversee margin on campaigns working with operations team to adjust in order to maximize performance for the client as well as revenue for the agency.
  • Oversee reconciliation between ad server and DSP reported impressions.
  • Develop RTB ad tactics for the organization to improve campaign results.

Requirements:

  • Trained and experienced within DSPs (The Trade Desk experience is a plus)
  • Highly motivated to learn operational aspects of digital advertising
  • Strong organizational skills, analytical thinker and quick learner
  • Multi-tasking in fast-paced/high transaction environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Dedicated to providing exceptional customer service
  • Computer, Internet and technology savvy
  • Ad server experience knowledge (desired)
